Kirksville Sex Offender Arrested in Iowa

Kirksville Police have announced that a sex offender wanted for charges of statutory rape and statutory sodomy in Adair County was arrested in Iowa. 39-year-old Joshua David Pearson of Kirksville was arrested around 12:15 Tuesday morning following a half-hour vehicle chase in Iowa prompted by a traffic violation. According to the Appanoose County, Iowa, Sheriff’s Department, Pearson is held there on additional charges of eluding, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless driving. Pearson was on the Missouri Sex Offender Registry for a sexual abuse case in Unionville in 2011.
