KIRKSVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT UNVEILS NEW MEDICAL INSURANCE PROGRAM

The Kirksville School District is working to inform school board members and staff about their new medical insurance program. The new program will feature Cigna as the primary health insurance company for the staff. Previously, the district covered the costs. Kirksville Superintendent Bob Webb says there was one primary reason for the switch.
The new plan does feature an increase in premium costs.
The Kirksville School Board held a special meeting late last week to preview the plan with school board members. Meetings were then held Monday with staff during their professional development day to discuss the plan ahead of the November enrollment period.
