Kirksville Police Searching for Sexual Assault Suspect
The Kirksville Police Department is searching for a man who reportedly sexually assaulted an eleven-year-old girl. Kirksville Police initially received the report of the sexual assault last Tuesday. Today, based on evidence collected during the investigation, officers have issued an arrest warrant for 39-year old Joshua David Pearson for statutory rape and statutory sodomy. Pearson is a registered sex offender. He is described as a white male, six-feet-two-inches tall, and weighes 250 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen driving a black GMC Sierra crew-cab with some rust around the passenger side rear wheel well. The Kirksville Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating Pearson. Anyone who makes contact with Pearson is advised to call local law enforcement.
