KIRKSVILLE POLICE SEARCHING FOR CASEY’S ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

Kirksville Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Casey’s General Store in the 500 block of South Franklin Street at 10pm Monday. Officers made contact with the employees of the store and determined nobody was injured during the robbery. Police learned a male entered the store displaying a handgun and demanded money from the register. The cashier provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect left the business southbound on foot. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6-feet tall, skinny build, wearing a dark colored hooded jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark colored pants and tennis shoes. Kirksville Police say they hope someone from the public may recognize photos of the suspect, which you can see below.
