Kirksville Police are looking for a suspect in a shooting from Wednesday night. An occupied vehicle had been shot with a firearm in the 1200 block of South Baird. Witnesses said a man approached their vehicle and fired one shot, which struck the exterior of the vehicle and caused damage. No injuries were reported then, but officers determined a third person was present inside the vehicle at the time of the incident and struck by a bullet. He reportedly had non-life threatening injuries, but police believe he is not coming forward because of active warrants for his arrest. The suspect is Douglas Dwayne “Cowboy” Garrett of Novelty. He is a white man, 35 years old, 5’9” tall, 200 lbs, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has multiple tattoos, including one on his upper left arm of the Harley-Davidson shield with name “Levi Garrett.” He should be considered armed and dangerous.
