Kirksville Man Arrested For Enticing Child

A Kirksville man was arrested for attempting to contact underage girls for sexual activity through a social media application. On October 19th, the Adair County Sheriffs Office received information about the activity. Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit gathered the information, and used an undercover social media profile of a 12-year-old girl to make contact with 22-yearly Seth Davis. A conversation ensued over the next few days. Davis sent messages of a sexual nature and made arrangements to meet. On October 24th, Davis made arrangements to meet the 12-year-old girl in the 1000 block of N. Osteopathy and follow her back to her house to engage in sex. Davis arrived at the location and was met with members of the Kirksville Police Department and the KRCCU. He was arrested and charged with Attempted Enticement of a Child.
