Kirksville took the lead with 11 straight points in the first half and held off Moberly for a 34-31 victory in the first round of the Class 4 District Tournament at Mexico High School Monday night. Corinne Vorkink hit a pair of free throws with five seconds left to make it a four point game. She paced Kirksville with nine points. Kennedy Messer pulled up from half court and was fouled with less than a second left. She hit one-of-three attempts for the final margin, trying to miss the final toss, but not catching iron.
