The Keytesville School District’s local tax revenue increased about 118 thousand dollars from last year. Superintendent Josh Shoemaker says the board improved the staff benefit package at last Monday’s meeting.

Instead of varying days of leave based on hire date, everyone will receive 12 days of leave. The base pay will jump to 34 thousand dollars, which is an increase of almost two thousand dollars The Keytesville School Board also ended a months-long process and named Kevin Gundy the Keytesville/Northwestern eight-man football head coach.

Gundy’s head coaching stops include Cameron, Fort Osage, Fort Scott Community College, and Quincy University. The Keytesville/Northwestern eight-man football co-op debuts at home versus Schuyler County August 28th.
