Keytesville Superintendent Josh Shoemaker updated the board on the district’s eight-man football progress Monday.

Keytesville approved eight-man football in November, then formed a co-op with Northwestern.

The schools plan to start the program next year. Shoemaker offers an update on the coaching search.

The Keytesville superintendent referenced assistant coach Mike Butt. Butt served as the head coach for Salisbury’s undefeated 11-man state championship team in 1997 after an eight-man title with North Nodaway in 1989.
