Kenya Thompson Departing Boonville for North Callaway Superintendent Job

Kenya Thompson is departing the Boonville School District after serving two years as high school principal. The Salisbury High School graduate will take over as North Callaway Superintendent in July.

Prior to her time at Boonville, Thompson spent six years in administration at Helias Catholic High School. She also served as a teacher and head softball coach at Moberly High School from 2010 to 2013. She says roles in both public and private schools have prepared her for this next step.

Thompson will continue her role at Boonville through the current school year. She says the coming months will be a balancing act.

Boonville is also searching for a new superintendent as Dr. Sarah Marriott is leaving to take an assistant superintendent role at Liberty Public Schools.
