Kentucky Football Eager to Build on Historic Stretch

Kentucky football managed its fourth 10-win season last year. Coach Mark Stoops says the Wildcats will remain relevant as the sport evolves.

10-3 Kentucky defeated Iowa in the Citrus Bowl last season. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen departed for the Los Angeles Rams after one year on Stoops’ staff.

New UK offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello served as the 49ers quarterbacks coach last year. Scangarello also boasts college and NFL coordinator experience. Stoops notes quarterback Will Levis has exceeded expectations.

The 23-year-old Levis transferred from Penn State last year.

Levis tossed 24 touchdowns and rushed for nine scores as a first-year starter. The senior quarterback praises Kentucky’s running backs, including Kavosiey Smoke.

Two of Kentucky’s four 10-win seasons have occurred in the last four years. Levis discusses the program’s capabilities.
