One item Missourians will decide on Tuesday will be on a Medicaid expansion measure known as Amendment 2. Columbia Representative Kip Kendrick is a proponent. The Columbia Democrat explains what the Medicaid expansion would entail.

Many Missouri Republicans have voiced their concerns of the costs involved with expanding Mediciaid. However, Kendrick insists the state will see savings from the expansion.

Medicaid expansion was initially part of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, however Missouri was one of several states which opted not to expand it at that time. If Amendment 2 passes, Missouri would become the 38th state to expand Medicaid.
