Since the Missouri Legislative session ended just over a month ago, discussion has been ongoing about if and when Governor Mike Parson will call a special session. Representative Kip Kendrick of Columbia says while it is likely Parson will call one, when it will be held is to be determined.
The budget is expected to be one of the main focuses if a special session is called. Kendrick says one other possible topic for the session relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hundreds of businesses, organizations, and individuals have signed a letter calling on Governor Parson to call a special session.
