The Missouri Legislature is continuing to meet in Jefferson City for a special session to deal with increasing crime in Missouri. However, Representative Kip Kendrick is calling on Governor Mike Parson to expand the current session to address issues facing the United States Postal Service. The Columbia Democrat explains his request.

Kendrick anticipates other state legislatures will be having similar conversations in the coming days and weeks. He expects to take up the conversation with his fellow Missouri legislators this week.

Kendrick says he expects an increase in the reliance of absentee and mail-in ballots nationally this year.

The current special session in Missouri began back on July 27th.
