Kehoe Earns Farm Bureau Endorsement For Governor
Missouri Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee is backing Mike Kehoe to become the state’s next governor. FARM PAC announced Monday afternoon that it will support Kehoe’s bid to succeed Mike Parson, making its endorsement nearly five months ahead of the Republican primary that is expected to have Kehoe face Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and State Senator Bill Eigel.
In a statement, Missouri Farm Bureau president Garrett Hawkins called Kehoe, “a staunch supporter of agriculture in the state of Missouri.” Hawkins noted Kehoe’s status as a first-generation farmer, adding that Kehoe’s, “appreciation of agriculture’s role in the state and his support of private property rights are of utmost importance to our state’s farmers and ranchers.”
Kehoe has been a member of Missouri Farm Bureau since 2011 and received the group’s endorsement when he ran for his current term as Lieutenant Governor in 2020. Missouri Farm Bureau joins several ag groups including the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Corn Growers Association, and Missouri Soybean Association in endorsing Kehoe.
