Kale Windy Closes Strong Senior Season at Schuyler County

Senior Kale Windy played a pivotal role for the Schuyler County boys basketball team this season as the Rams eclipsed the 20-win plateau for the first time since the 2009-10 season. For his efforts,Windy has been named to his second KRES All-Star Team. He discusses his favorite memories from playing basketball at Schuyler.

Windy got to play with his sophomore brother Mason while his dad Kyle served as both a head and assistant coach during his high school career.

Windy’s strong play helped power the Rams to a district championship appearance where they fell 65-46 to Canton. Windy had to battle through a broken collarbone suffered during football and a sprained ankle during the basketball season. He discusses how he dealt with the adversity.

Windy will continue his basketball career next year at Central College in Pella, Iowa. You can hear his KRES All-Star interview Tuesday morning at 9:30 on 104.7.
