Juneteenth in Fayette Starts Wednesday

The 23rd Juneteenth celebration in Fayette gets underway this Wednesday. Organizer Tim Jackman says this year’s theme is “United We Stand – Rooted in Unity”.

The event kicks off Wednesday night at 7 with the movie “Oh Freedom After While” at CMU’s Stedman Hall.

There’s a full day of events Saturday and a community worship service on the Howard County Courthouse lawn Sunday morning at 10. The full schedule is available on the Facebook page “Juneteenth Celebration – Fayette 2023”.
