John Jacob Itinger V., 61, of Eolia, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home.

John was born on April 4, 1963, to John and Sandra (Strickland) Itinger in San Diego, California. After his father got out of the Navy they moved back home, to St. Peters, Missouri, where he spent the majority of his childhood.

John enjoyed playing the guitar and banjo, hunting, watching movies, bowling, billiards, shooting guns, playing board games, shooting off fireworks, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He was known for being a grill master and making the best rare steak around.

John was a loyal and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend. He met his wife Connie in 1989 while DJ’ing at a bowling alley bar with his good friend DL. They were happily married for 33 years and had two children he was very proud of; Samantha and John. He was very patriotic and took great pride in mentioning he raised two United States Marines. While the majority of his career was spent truck driving, he was known by many to be a jack-of-all-trades and was heavily relied on as the family handyman. John was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and love. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will forever be cherished and continue to guide us in the days ahead.

John is survived by his mother, Sandra (Strickland) Itinger; wife, Connie (O’Connor) Itinger; children, John Itinger (Gabrielle Munoz) and Samantha Itinger; sisters, Terry (Itinger) Woody (Steve) and Tammy (Itinger) Hargrove; and nieces, Tiphanee Lindsey and Teecia Lindsey.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Itinger.
