Jacksonville Fall Festival Saturday

The first Jacksonville Fall Festival is from 2 until 7 Saturday, with live music, kids games, a cornhole tournament, vendors, a barrel train ride, and a free hotdog meal. Volunteers from both Chariton Valley and Macon Electric Cooperative worked on renovations at the Jacksonville City Park to prepare it for the event. Employees applied water sealant to the stage floor, added siding to a nearby building, cleaned and organized the concession building, and refurbished a picnic table, as part of the Co-ops in Action partnership. That began in 2017, with projects selected from requests from community groups. They are currently seeking requests for next year’s projects. Interested organizations can apply at maconelectric.com or cvalley.net.
