Iowa Man Killed In A Schuyler County Accident

An Iowa man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Route N three miles northwest of Downing just after 1 Thursday afternoon. The State Highway Patrol reports a pickup driven by 19-year old Galen Zimmerman of Memphis crossed the center of the road and struck a van driven by 63-year old Ronald Craver of Bloomfield, Iowa, head-on. Craver was pronounced dead at the scene. Zimmerman suffered serious injuries and was flown to Columbia.
