ILLINOIS WOMAN INJURED IN MARION CO. ACCIDENT

An Illinois woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Marion County Monday. The State Highway Patrol reports that around 8am, 23-year-old Hanna Thomas of Fowler, Illinois lost control of her SUV on a bridge, slid into the median of Highway 36, five miles east of Monroe City, then overturned several times, entering the westbound lanes of the highway, where she was struck head-on by a semi driven by 45-year-old Nur Omer of Canada. No injuries were reported for Omer. Thomas was taken to Quincy.
