The ongoing rehabilitation of the Perche Creek bridges along Interstate 70 in Boone County will impact westbound traffic this weekend. Contractors working with MoDOT will close one lane of the westbound bridge west of Columbia at 8 pm tomorrow. The lane will remain closed through Tuesday. The lane will also be limited to eleven feet with a concrete barrier in place during the closure. The closure is necessary for the safety of travelers and the safety of workers on and under the bridge. Crews are currently making repairs to the substructure and bridge decks. Similar closures are planned for the eastbound lanes in late September. The project is scheduled to be completed by December.
