Huntsville Man Arrested and Charged for Drug Overdose Death in Moberly

A Huntsville man has been charged in a drug overdose death in Moberly. Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Luntsford has charged 36-year-old Kyle Hummel of Huntsville with second-degree murder and distribution of a controlled substance. The charges are the results of an investigation conducted by the Moberly Police Department and the North Missouri Drug Task Force into the death of a Moberly resident on Sunday. The investigation revealed the resident died from a drug overdose in which the drugs were allegedly supplied by Hummel. He is being held in the Randolph County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
