House Water Export Bill Seeks to Protect Missouri Supply

The Missouri House recently passed a bill, sponsored by Representative Jamie Burger of Benton, that would regulate the exportation of water from the state and giving Missourians first priority. Representative Tim Taylor of Bunceton says this is a forward-thinking bill.

Taylor says there are some limits to the exportation regulations of this bill.

Taylor adds Missouri’s recent drought issues illustrate the need for this bill.

The bill still awaits discussion in the Missouri Senate.
