House Committee Examines Tax Incentives for Rural Workforce Housing Developers

The Missouri House Rural Community Development Committee will hear a bill Monday designed to encourage construction of housing in rural areas. State Representative Danny Busick of Newtown says the bill would give tax credits to developers for new single family housing, duplexes, and even apartments above commercial storefronts.

Busick says the program will also help developers in another way.

Representative Greg Sharpe’s bill also establishes incentives for construction of new housing following the declaration of a major disaster.
