Hotel/Conference Center Looks Promising for Downtown Moberly

The possibility of a significant investment in downtown Moberly, including a hotel and conference center, is looking extremely promising. Stephen Powell, the CEO of Destinaton Services, who is working with the City of Moberly and the Chamber of Commerce on tourism and the hotel project, passed along an update to the Community Improvement District Board.
This investment could spur on additional growth.
The development agreement is with Mashburn Development, LLC.
Powell says the groundbreaking could take place in early 2021, with the opening of the hotel in the spring of 2022.
