Horner Compares His Tournament Titles and Discusses the Swing From Cancer to Champion

In 2006, Jeff Horner was named Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament after leading the Iowa Hawkeyes to a championship. On Sunday, Horner got to experience it as a coach, guiding Truman State to the Great Lakes Valley Conference title. He compared the two on the postgame show on KRES….

The season has brought a wide swing in emotions for the Bulldog taskmaster. Horner was diagnosed with cancer in the offseason and the affects of treatments kept him from the sideline the first few games…..

Jeff Horner and the Bulldogs are the number two seed in the NCAA D2 Midwest Regional in Indianapolis starting Saturday. Truman will play Ferris State, Michigan at 1:30 central time. You can hear the game on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting at 1:10. If the Bulldogs win, they will play Sunday at 4:00 central time. The regional championship game will be Tuesday night, March 17th. Here are the other first round matchups on Saturday:
