Holstein Association Encouraging Use of RFID Tags

Registered breed groups including Holstein Association USA are encouraging use of radio frequency identification or RFID tags to maintain animal health and improve genetics. Jodi Hoynoski, executive director of Holstein identification and member services, says that even though USDA has withdrawn its timeline for RFID requirements, dairy producers should still consider using the tags.
