Last week, the Higbee Board of Education accepted an invitation to join the Carroll Livingston Activities Association in 2021. The offer to join the conference was extended to Higbee back in January, but the district wanted to explore its other options first. Superintendent Danielle Tuepker says one of the options they were considering was expanding the Cooper County Activities Association.

Tuepker was asked if Higbee would have to add any sports such as football to become a member of the conference.

Last week, Tuepker said Higbee’s decision to move to the CLAA was in large part due to the CCAA having only three schools and one co-op participating in the conference, and the coaches believing there will be more opportunities to compete in the CLAA.
