Higbee Man Charged After Allegedy Shooting His Brother

A Higbee man faces charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action after allegedly shooting his brother Tuesday night. The Randolph County Sheriff’s office says a deputy arrested 30-year-old Kelly Walker Junior. The brother went to MRMC about 10:30 Tuesday night with two gunshot wounds. He told a deputy he had been fighting with Kelly Walker in the 400 block of Eastwood and Kelly had first hit him in the head with a large rock, opening a wound. After they had been separated, the victim tried going into the house, when Kelly shot him once in each leg. Deputies later found the rock with blood on it, and a .22 rifle. Kelly Walker is held on 25 thousand dollars bond.
