Public comment this month on rules concerning the licensing of hemp cultivation and production in Missouri marks the next step toward reintroducing the crop in the state. Valliyodan says that blueprint will be important in tackling some of the problems that producers could face when starting to grow the crop.
Valliyodan says another priority will be to find specific hemp varieties that are best suited to Missouri’s climate.
