Health, Safety Remain Concern As State Fair Gates Reopen

Amid rising cases of coronavirus infections and the typical August heat, the 119th Missouri State Fair will open its gates Thursday for what organizers hope is a typical fair.  However, Director Mark Wolfe says many of the additional sanitation measures put in place last year will be put to full use this year.

As with any state fair, a full complement of first responders, including volunteer firefighters, paramedics, and highway patrol, will be on hand to handle emergencies should they occur.

The 119th Missouri State Fair will run August 12th through the 22nd in Sedalia.
