The 2022 November portion of Missouri’s firearms deer season has come and gone. Hunters harvested over 197-thousand deer during the two-week season. That total was up by nearly nine-thousand from the previous year. Monroe County Conservation Agent Jessica Filla explains the reason for the increase.
Callaway County had the third largest harvest in the state with 3,416 deer taken. Filla says other area counties had strong seasons as well.
Missouri’s archery deer season continues through January 15th. The alternative methods deer season begins December 24th and will run through January 3rd.
