Harrisburg Seeking Wins in Huntsville Against Westran

A Lewis & Clark varsity doubleheader between Harrisburg and Westran is set for Friday night. The 8th ranked Hornets are looking to snap their three-game losing streak to the Bulldogs with the most recent game being last year’s 54-50 defeat in the district semifinal. Senior Langden Kitchen leads the team averaging a shade under 24 PPG. Coach Chris Sander says his team will have to handle a Harrisburg squad that likes to speed the game up.

Two-time All-Conference senior Brayden Ott leads the charge for the Bulldogs. This is game one-of-two against state-ranked opponents late in the season for 15-8 Harrisburg, with Salisbury as its next opponent. Coach Kyle Fisher.

Since 2008 the boys basketball series is 8-7 in favor of the Bulldogs.

Harrisburg is looking to extend it’s winning streak against Westran to seven games. Despite the Lady Hornets 5-18 record, Harrisburg head coach Ryan Richardson is expecting a dogfight.

The Lady Hornets are coming off a 45-43 loss against Paris. Dylan Perry is averaging over 10 points per game this season. Coach Alex Thomas thinks the team is ready to turn the corner if they can limit their mistakes.
