Hannibal Names Offensive Coordinator Gschwender Head Coach

Hannibal football’s Twitter account announced offensive coordinator Jeff Gschwender will be the program’s next head coach. Gschwender served as a Pirate assistant for the last six seasons. The future Hannibal head coach accepted a position in the district after three years as Bowling Green’s head coach. Gschwender replaces Quentin Hamner, who resigned after two seasons. The Pirates finished 8-3 last year. Hannibal defeated Moberly 48-13 in the district championship before a 48-34 quarterfinal loss to MICDS. Gschwender’s father Tony guided Louisiana football to the 1986 state title.
