Hannibal Man Killed in St. Charles County Motorcycle Accident

A Hannibal man died in a motorcycle accident in St. Peters Wednesday morning. The State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Austin Bergheger was trying to pass a pickup on westbound I-70 at Mid Rivers Mall Drive around 8:55. He ran into the back of an SUV in the next lane, and then was hit by the pickup. He was pronounced dead at the scene about half an hour later. The other two drivers were not injured.
