Hallsville Avenges 2020 Losses to Palmyra

The Hallsville Indians avenged a pair of 2020 losses with a 28-7 win over Palmyra Friday night. Neither team scored in the first quarter, but Hallsville opened things up in the second.

Scott Lunte with the call on KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Tyger Cobb and Landon Sievers connected for a second touchdown from 26 yards out later in the quarter. Palmyra got on the board in the third quarter with a 13-yard pass from Aaron Ritchey to Ethan Redd. Cobb completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Austene as time expired in the third and added a nine yard rushing touchdown in the fourth. Hallsville coach Justin Conyers said Cobb’s play was a little shaky at the start.

Conyers said his defense stepped up in a big way.

Palmyra coach Kevin Miles evaluated the Panthers unofficial 143 yards of offense.
