Groundbreaking Held for Moberly Junior High Renovation

The old Moberly Junior High School will be finally be rented out as senior apartments sometime next year. Ground was broken Thursday morning for the long-planned renovation. Ken Nuernberger is the developer with ND Consulting Group.

He explains the scope of the renovations.

Carla Potts is the Deputy Director for Housing Development with NECAC. She says there’s a need for housing like this.

The former school, which was built in 1930, will be turned into 40 senior apartments, there will also be a community room, social services, exercise room and computer room. Work will start almost immediately.
