Groundbreaking Ceremony on the Horizon for New Macon Municipal Pool

A groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place next month for construction of a new Macon Municipal Pool. Mayor Tony Petre discusses some of the early work.

The new pool will feature multiple water slides, a current channel, a diving board, basketball hoop and five swim lanes. Petre explains how the different features were incorporated into the final design.

The facility will also feature a bathhouse, concession stand and an admissions booth. Petre says it’s rewarding to see this project fully taking shape.
