Greyhounds Winning Streak Snapped in Split at Mineral Area
The 15th-ranked Moberly Greyhounds 26-game regular season Region 16 winning streak was ended in an 80-72 loss at fourth-ranked Mineral Area Saturday night. The Hounds were down 15 with three minutes to go before pulling to within 4 with 21 seconds left.

The Greyhounds, now 20-5 overall and 5-1 in the region, are at Indian Hills Wednesday. We’ll have the pregame at 6:50, tip at 7 on KWIX and centralmoinfo.com. Mineral Area is now 23-1, and 4-1 in Region 16.
In the earlier game, Chatori Tyler’s team-high 17 points led the Lady Hounds to a 73-63 win over Mineral Area.
Shania Liburd added 13. The Lady Hounds took the lead for good with Bryce Dowell’s buzzer-beating three to end the first half.
Coach Hana Haden said her team settled down in the second half.
Moberly is now 19-4 overall, and 5-1 in Region 16, still a half-game behind Three Rivers. Mineral Area falls to 16-8, and 3-3. The Lady Hounds are at Jefferson Tuesday.
