Greyhounds Head To Highland Tournament

The 16th-ranked Moberly Greyhounds make their annual trip to Freeport, Illinois, to play in Highland Community College’s 55th Annual William R. Bear Tournament. The tournament is unusual in that each of the eight teams will play three games in only two days. Moberly has gone 21-3 in the last eight tournaments there. The Greyhounds will have to compensate for Jaleen Goodman, who suffered a facial fracture in the last game at Southwestern Illinois a week ago Thursday.

Goodman is averaging 6.6 points and 3 assists per game. Friday’s loser will play at 9 Friday night, while the winner plays a semifinal at 11 Saturday morning, where the Hounds could see Southeastern Iowa in a rematch from last month. J.B.
