Gregg Nesbitt Hired As New Kirksville High School Football Coach

The Kirksville Board of Education hired Gregg Nesbitt as Head Football Coach, at Tuesday night’s meeting. Nesbitt ended a 14-year run as Truman State head coach in February and says this move across town wasn’t planned….

Nesbitt discusses some reasons why a return to high school football appeals to him…..

Gregg Nesbitt was a head football coach at Hannibal High School from 1984-89. After a return to Truman as an assistant coach, Nesbitt spent 13 years as head coach at Hickman High School, where he led the Kewpies to a state championship in 2004. Nesbitt replaces Kevin Kreitemeyer, who resigned last month.
