Green City's Dynamic Duo: Asher Buggs-Tipton and Xander Salas Reflect on Historic GC Basketball Season

The Green City Gophers boys basketball team secured a top-four finish in the state for just the second time in program history. Two-time KRES All-Star Asher Buggs-Tipton says it was a memorable senior season.

Green City defeated Dadeville 66-50 in the third place game at Mizzou Arena.

Junior guard Xander Salas receives his first KRES All-Star honor.

Salas scored a team-high 37 points to lift Green City to a quarterfinals win over BPH. He says the team faced challenges throughout the season.

Green City coach Matt Ayers was named the Northeast Media All-District Basketball coach of the year.
