The Green City School District is switching to distance learning for at least the next week due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the district. A total of four students and three teachers have tested positive for the virus. Due to contact tracing over 35 percent of the districts’ students and staff are now under quarantine. Green City will be holding classes through distance learning beginning Monday and extending through at least November 4th. No assignments will be given to students Monday in order to allow the district to plan and organize distance learning. The district hopes to return to in-person classes November 5th. There will be no basketball practice during distance learning and the high school’s senior trip has also been canceled. The district will be contacting families Monday to provide more information on distance learning plans. Parents with further questions are advised to e-mail their child’s teachers.
