Graduation and Prom Moving Forward for Novinger High School

Last year, traditional end of year events for high school students like graduation and prom were disrupted due to the pandemic. However, many of these events will take on their normal look this year. Novinger High School will be holding their graduation ceremony May 23rd in their gymnasium. Adair County R-1 Superintendent Robin Daniels says students and their attendees will have one restriction.

The graduation ceremony will take place at 2 pm. Prior to graduation, Novinger juniors and seniors will be able to participate in prom. This year’s prom will take place April 24th and will include the traditional Grand March at the Novinger Community Center. Daniels details the Grand March.

The Novinger High School gymnasium will serve as a backup site for the Grand March in the event of inclement weather. Prom will take place later that evening in Kirksville.
