GLVC Allowing Make-Up Games-Postseason Tournament Will Include All Teams

The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced updates to COVID protocols and the basketball championship format after a meeting of the Council of Presidents on Friday. GLVC Commissioner Jim Naumovich says the resocialization plan includes allowing canceled games to be made up….

Naumovich said the GLVC Council of Presidents also voted to expanded the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship Tournaments from an eight-team field to a 15-team format….

GLVC Commissioner Jim Naumovich said a Point Rating System will continue to be used to determine seeding. The top seed will receive a first round bye. First round games will be played on campus sites, with the higher seed getting to host. The quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship games will be played on the campus of SIU-Edwardsville March 3-6th.
