While rain and snow is in our forecast for the latter half of the week, freezing precipitation isn’t a big concern. Meteorologist with the Nationial Weather Service in Pleasant Hill Jimmy Barham talks about what we’ll see as the system moves into the area.

The system will produce snow through Thursday morning, then switch to rain through Thursday afternoon and then back to snow for Thursday evening through Friday.

Barham says snow will be a little heavier north of the Missouri River, where two to four inches may be possible over the course of the system, and one to two south of the river. Even with the ground saturated, Barham says flooding is also not a concern.

As always, your Regional Radio stations will keep you updated on the weather conditions as they change.
