Four people were injured in an accident in Randolph County just after 4pm Wednesday. The State Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 47-year-old Herbert Bartels was crossing Highway 63 at Route J in Jacksonville and was struck after failing to yield to a car driven by 26-year-old Colton Hammes of Novinger. Both vehicles traveled off the north side of Route J and Bartels’ truck overturned. Hammes and his passenger, 24-year-old Andrew Morgan of Kirksville, both had serious injuries and were taken to Columbia. Bartels suffered minor injuries and a passenger, 21-year-old James Bartels of Macon, suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to Macon.
