Four Hurt in Accident Near Milan

Four people were hurt, one seriously, in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 6, two miles east of Milan, around 5:20 Thursday morning. The State Highway Patrol says an SUV driven by 20-year-old Madison Brewer of Kirksville was headed eastbound, crossed the center line of the road, and hit a car driven by 24-year-old Fannie Swartzentruber of Green City head on. Swartenztruber was taken to Kirksville with serious injuries. Two passengers in her car, 21-year-old Jayden Swartzentruber and 22-year-old Adrian Ruiz, both of Green City, had minor injuries, as did Brewer. Those three were taken to Milan. Brewer was booked for three counts of felony DWI causing physical injury, failure to stay on the right half of the road, and not wearing a seat belt.
