County Commissioners from Chariton, Monroe, Ralls, and Randolph County came on KWIXland This Morning to express concerns over Invenergy’s planned construction of the Grain Belt Express transmision line. Monroe County Commissioner Marilyn O’Bannon wondered if the finances are there….

Randolph County Presiding Commissioner John Truesdell isn’t convinced the company can finish a project like this…..

O’Bannon is aware of landowners that are going through the condemnation process…

The proposed project would be the construction of a high voltage, direct current transmission line and associated facilities within eight Missouri counties; Buchanan, Clinton, Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Randolph, Monroe and Ralls.

Chariton County Commissioner Evan Emmerich and Ralls County Commissioner John Lake were also part of the discussion. You can hear the full program by going to the KWIXland This Morning page in the news section of centralmoinfo.com.
